Hey Sam! Introducing, Ahlia Dallae Griffiths! Born yesterday morning at 12.10am.
She was 5 days late, and I was getting very impatient. Was booked in for acupuncture the following morning and I'd consumed like 3 cups of raspberry leaf tea that day.
All was perfect. baby in right position, was engaged etc.
It all happened very quickly - I was very relaxed about it as I had a whole day of walking around when in labour with Hayden, so would often spend my days waiting away from home e.g state library, museums, galleries etc. (mainly for the air conditioning, not because I'm so cultured) But lucky I happened to be home in bed when it all actually started as within 2 hours it was all over.
Got to the hospital and really really wanted to try the water birth experience, but alas whilst waiting for the bath tub to be filled baby just came out. Definitely just let my body do its thing - didn't feel like I pushed at all, but could tell that my breaths naturally was pushing things along. I did make funny noises tho. - Still in the amniotic sac so it freaked Pete out as I suppose it must have looked like an alien, and he didn't know what was going on.
Home within less than 12 hours, as I guess it was such an easy delivery and no complications and I feel great.
So now only thing left is me getting adjusted to mum of 2 life!
Thank you so much for your hypnobirthing wisdom. Can't thank you enough! Easiest birth experience ever! I feel fantastic.
Lots of love, Min
